Ofwat makes three senior director appointments to strengthen leadership team

Ofwat has made three senior director appointments to strengthen its senior leadership team. 

The role of Senior Director in Sector Performance will be taken by Helen Campbell, Lynn Parker will be Senior Director, Casework, Enforcement and Customers and Kate Kendall will be Senior Director in Major Projects & Markets for a 12-month interim period.

Senior Director – Sector Performance: Helen Campbell

Helen Campbell will be Senior Director, Sector Performance. For the past two years Helen Campbell has been the Director of Strategy, Performance and Assurance at the Infrastructure and Projects Authority reporting to the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury.

She previously worked in Director roles across National Grid over a 13-year tenure, latterly as Director of Strategy, Performance and Assurance in National Grid Gas Transmission. She brings a wealth of experience in leading complex projects and change programmes.

Helen will be joining Ofwat on 2 October.

Senior Director – Casework, Enforcement & Customers: Lynn Parker

Lynn Parker has been appointed Senior Director, Casework, Enforcement & Customers.

Lynn is presently the Head of Enforcement at Ofgem where she is a member of the Enforcement and Emerging Issues leadership team. This role involves developing strategic direction for enforcement across the full range of Ofgem functions including consumer protection, vulnerability, cyber, networks and decarbonisation. Lynn leads a multi-disciplinary team investigating breaches of standard licence conditions and consumer law.

Preceding this she was Director of Consumer Protection at Ofcom for 9 years and an Assistant Director – Consumer at the CMA. Prior to that Lynn worked at the OFT and HM Customs and Excise. Lynn holds a degree in Law from University of London.

Lynn will be joining Ofwat on 9 October.

Senior Director – Major Projects & Markets: Kate Kendall

Kate Kendall, currently Director, Future Assets and Resources, has been appointed Senior Director for Major Projects and Markets on an interim basis.

Kate takes up the role for a period of 12 months commencing on the 1 August. Kate joined Ofwat in 2018 as Director, Finance & Governance after working for nine years with Ofgem.

She has worked across infrastructure development and delivery for 20 years and is a finance professional (FCCA). Earlier roles were at Grant Thornton and Costain Group PLC.
