Northern Ireland Environment Agency launches 8-week call for evidence to improve knowledge base on impacts on the water environment

The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) has launched an 8-week Call for Evidence to improve the knowledge base on impacts on the water environment and to enable a more accurate assessment of the potential pressures and impacts on water quality.

This call for evidence will form part of the ongoing preparation for the Significant Water Management Issues Report to be issued later in 2025/2026. This call for evidence aims to gather all available information and evidence on impacts on the water environment in Northern Ireland by reaching out to the public and stakeholders.

The NIEA is encouraging all those with an interest in the matter to respond to this consultation, which closes on 8 June 2025.
