One of the world’s leading suppliers of municipal vehicles, Bucher Municipal, has said the company’s range of recyclers has established itself as the recycler of choice for water companies and contractors who carry out preventative maintenance.
The company says it may not know every reason why its customers prefer Bucher Recyclers, but it can highlight some of the more unique features that it believes makes the Bucher Recycler the best product for the job.
Starting with the chassis, although many customers see Bucher products on Scania day cabs, the company can supply a Recycler on an alternative chassis such as Volvo and Mercedes as well as offering XT packs, sleeper cabs, 3 star rated cabs, different axle configurations and rear steer axles.
In addition to chassis choice, what Bucher continues to offer is trucks in stock, which enables supply of a product to meet their customers required start date. The company stocks the following, and subject to prior sales can deliver in 4 weeks:
- Recycler RM120 – this is a combi recycler 12m3 tank with a moveable partition, mounted on a 26 tonne 3 axle Scania P cab with a rear steer axle, offering great manoeuvrability when operating in city centres and tight spaces.
- Recycler RM140 – which is a 14m3 hopper on a 4 axle, 32 tonne chassis.
- Recycler RM140 super – this is Bucher’s premium recycler and is offered on a G cab Scania 32 tonne sleeper cab.
Another great feature the company believes makes its products so popular is the overhead boom configuration, which results in all Bucher Recyclers having a low height. Many areas within older city centres, such as London’s Victorian built railway bridges, were not designed for tall HGVs and this can restrict access for other brands who don’t have the same height advantage, forcing operators to re-route to get to a job.
Every Bucher Recycler has a 5-stage recycling system which can recycle the water in the tank to 200 microns, allowing the Recycler to work continuously without the need to refill the lost water tanks. Although many other manufacturers offer recycling systems, Bucher believes it has the ideal system. If the water is filtered to a more course micron level, the grit in the water wears out the ceramics in the jetting nozzles faster. If it is too fine, the number of blockages increases, reducing productivity.
All Bucher Recyclers can over pump, allowing the operator to pump water from one place to another. The standard units use the standard pump and the water is passed though the tank before being discharged. The Recycler RM140 super has this option and has a Vogelsang pump which allows independent over pumping without passing through the tank.
Bucher Recyclers have pumps ideally matched to the requirement. Some customers feel a liquid ring pump is needed but over years of experience, the company has found the standard vain pump offers the performance needed without additional cost and servicing.
Bucher can offer a whole host of solutions with Recyclers, from continuous recycling to deep lifts and all from products that can be delivered in 4 weeks.
