As Grundfos expands its footprint in the field of water treatment into the UK, Ian Patterson, Managing Director of Grundfos Water Treatment UK Limited looks forward to an exciting new chapter, providing innovative and sustainable water treatment solutions across many industries.

We’re delighted to announce that Culligan Commercial UK Limited is now fully integrated into the Water Treatment business of Grundfos, following its acquisition in September 2024. A leading global pump and water solutions company, Grundfos has developed its footprint in the field of water treatment and enhanced its existing and value-added offerings in the UK. As well as Culligan Commercial UK, Grundfos acquired Culligan’s Water Treatment Solutions businesses in Italy and France. The newly acquired companies compliment the water treatment businesses of Eurowater, MECO and Water Works acquired earlier.

It’s great to be a part of this exciting new chapter in water treatment here in the UK. We remain committed to providing the best in water treatment solutions and where we can, to improve them. We’re very proud to be part of the Grundfos brand and working with dedicated colleagues who share our passion for innovation and customer focus.

Driving innovation and water optimisation

Over the last few months, we’ve been busy rebranding to Grundfos and changing our name to Grundfos Water Treatment UK Limited, so you’ll start noticing our new name in the marketplace. Meanwhile, work with our valued clients continues as normal. However, we can now better serve our customers with a broader portfolio and service offering. We continue to drive innovation and water optimisation across many different industries, ensuring the best in water economy and consistency of water quality.

We’re already a market leader when it comes to water treatment solutions, providing services to key sectors including industrial, municipal, medical and marine. There are, however, many new opportunities and we continue to work on strengthening capabilities in membrane and non-membrane filtration, as well as ion exchange systems. These are particularly important for the building services, data centre and food and beverage industries that we will be looking to drive forward and support in 2025.

Rising to social and environmental challenges

Grundfos has a long tradition of taking responsibility and creating a positive impact on the social and environmental challenges facing our society, placing special emphasis on water and climate. This coming year, Grundfos Water Treatment UK Limited will be working hard on our environmental commitments. The product development teams are focusing their knowledge and experience to further develop our ion exchange, membrane and filtration technologies with a view to improving water and energy efficiency, which is key to creating more eco-friendly practices as we work towards a more sustainable future.

Our teams have also been working closely with CIBSE in the building services market to make an environmental product declaration for our main products, achieving important steps forward in terms of better performing buildings, decarbonisation, energy conservation, safety, health and wellbeing. We’re committed to ensuring that our products and practices are sustainable and we have recently completed our first TM65 for our range of Clearscale Plus water conditioners. We will continue through our product range until we have a full suite of TM65 Embodied Carbon Scores.

Grundfos Water Treatment UK Limited is now stronger and better equipped than ever to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Please get in touch with our Sales Team today to see how we can help you meet your water treatment requirements.
