Costain wins two significant awards at Project Controls Expo UK 2024

Costain secured two award wins at the Project Controls Expo UK 2024, recently held in London. The awards recognise Costain’s commitment to excellence and innovation in project controls.

Project Controls Apprentice of the Year – Stefanie Bragg

Costain’s Stefanie Bragg was named UK Project Controls Apprentice of the Year in recognition of her exceptional contributions and rapid professional development within the project controls sector. Stefanie has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to her role, bringing both technical skills and a proactive approach to her work. “Being named Project Controls Apprentice of the Year is a true honour,” said Stefanie Bragg. “Transitioning from forensic science into project controls was a significant step, and this recognition reflects the invaluable guidance, trust, and support I’ve received from the Costain Advisory team. My colleagues, clients, and mentors have made Costain an inspiring place to grow, and I’m excited to contribute to our ongoing success and to support the next generation of apprentices”.

Global Project Controls Consultancy of the Year – Costain in Partnership with EDF UK

Costain, in partnership with EDF UK, also won Global Project Controls Consultancy of the Year. Working alongside EDF UK, Costain has leveraged specialised services and advanced data analytics through Power BI to enhance the efficiency and forecasting accuracy within the nuclear decommissioning sector. “This award reflects the hard work, expertise, and collaborative spirit of our teams at Costain and EDF UK,” said Bryan Jenkins, Framework Director at Costain. “As one of the largest suppliers of project control resource to the UK civil nuclear industry, our work in project controls is not just about managing projects; it’s about innovating, setting new standards, and contributing to the long-term success of critical infrastructure initiatives. We’re proud to be part of a partnership that consistently delivers excellence.”

Costain colleagues Macy O’Connor and Alex Restell were also shortlisted in the categories of UK Project Management / Project Controls Apprentice of the Year and Global Project Controls Professional of the Year, respectively.
