VEGA instruments achieve WRAS certification for water safety

VEGA, a global leader in the measurement technology industry, has announced that its compact radar level sensors have received WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) certification, joining its VEGAWELL 52 pressure transmitters.

VEGA believes this milestone places the company among the first in the marketplace to have its instruments successfully undergo the rigorous WRAS material testing, which the company says reinforces its commitment to delivering the highest standards of quality and safety in the water industry.

WRAS certification ensures that materials and products in contact with drinking water meet UK water regulations, which confirms their safety and quality for both businesses and consumers. It involves thorough assessment and testing to maintain high standards. VEGA’s approved products are now listed in the WRAS directory.

Doug Anderson, Managing Director of VEGA, said:

“We’ve shown our MCERTS credentials on wastewater and environmental monitoring, now it’s time to show how well our devices scrub up with WRAS approval for clean water applications.”

The company said the successful certification of its VEGAPULS C21/22/23 and VEGAPULS 21/31 radar level sensors, alongside the VEGAWELL 52 pressure transmitters, underscores its dedication to engineering excellence and a proactive approach in ensuring products meet all industry requirements. Customers should now benefit from having even greater confidence that VEGA instruments not only perform with precision but demonstrate compliance with regulations in the UK drinking water industry.

Matt Westgate, Water Industry Manager, added:

“Compact smart VEGA radar level sensors with MCERTS, ATEX and now full WRAS product certification. Giving the UK water market what it wants!”

By achieving WRAS certification, VEGA said it was confident the company continues to lead the way in innovation, safety, and quality assurance, and that this accomplishment reflects its ongoing commitment to providing solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers and the industry as a whole.
