Halogen Systems Inc., a 30 years old Nevada based company, producing a range of innovative chlorine sensors for all water related industries, has teamed up with Zeben – Sistemas Electrónicos Lda, to coordinate its EMEA operations from Portugal, under the name “Halogen Systems Europe”.
The new entity will further develop Halogen Systems presence in Europe and lead sales & marketing activities across the whole region.
The company says their MP3tm, MP5tm, and soon MP6tm multi-parameters chlorine sensors completely change the way chlorine levels are monitored in industrial applications by eliminating the pain points of the current solutions and show astonishing results in terms of accuracy, stability and durability.
“Our chlorine sensors were designed to monitor ballast water on ships, to avoid bio-fouling across oceans. The worst of all water conditions prepared us for any water treatment application”, says Travis Silveri, Director of Sales And Business Development at Halogen Systems Inc., “This new partnership establishes our bridgehead in Europe and is an important step for our international development”, he adds.
“The technology used in Halogen sensors makes it incredibly simpler and cheaper to monitor water quality: not only you gain in accuracy, you also remove the heavy and impractical maintenance of traditional amperometric sensors. Halogen sensors just work, whatever the conditions. These products will change history for water quality metering markets”, says Zebedeu Rodrigues, CEO of Zeben – Sistemas Electrónicos.
Started in a garage in a small town in Nevada, Halogen Systems, Inc qualified for a Small Business Innovative Research Contract (SBIR) from the Office of Naval Research (ONR) via a program for the US Navy, developing sensors that met parameters that they believed most industry insiders felt were impossible. In 2021, Halogen began extending this technology into additional industries, starting with Drinking Water and Wastewater treatment plants. Halogen sees promise in additional industries such as Environmental Water Recovery (EWR) systems like Rainwater Collection, Cooling Towers, and Graywater Systems, plus Industrial Hot-water Systems.
Zeben Sistemas Electrónicos, Lda was founded in 2005 and is dedicated to the design, creation and the sale of industrial automation solutions. Focusing on innovation and service excellence, Zeben’s team wants to contribute to the modernization of industries and satisfy their increasing need for specialized competences.
The company will be exhibiting at this year’s IFAT Exhibition in Munich, Germany, 13-17 May. Find them in Hall C1, booth 513.
