Pennon gives the South West’s top talent the chance to dive into exciting roles within the water industry

Pennon Group is looking for top talent across the region as it opens applications for its two-year Graduate Management Programme for 2024.

With a whole range of exciting roles available across operations, engineering, business projects, IT and customer services teams at their water businesses South West Water, Bristol Water and Bournemouth Water, the programme gives applicants a two-year full-time chance to learn about the company and the wider water industry.

The programme includes access to ongoing training, mentorship and development opportunities tailored to everyone’s career aspirations.

Adele Barker, Pennon Group’s Chief People Officer, said:

“As one of the region’s biggest employers we are really pleased to offer our teams a diverse and inclusive place to work, with the opportunity to have a positive impact on the customers and communities we value so much as a business. Our graduate programme provides fantastic opportunities for people in our region, whilst attracting talent from further afield. I look forward to meeting our 2024 graduates later in the year.”

Pennon was recently recognised for its strong commitment to supporting apprentices and graduates after achieving Gold membership of The 5% Club. The award reflects the business’s outstanding work with apprenticeships and graduates, and in supporting their careers through Earn and Learn schemes.

The company is going above and beyond to attract and support the next generation of water industry experts and has doubled its apprenticeship and graduate schemes with plans to recruit 1,000 people in these positions by 2030, along with offering 5,000 work placement opportunities.
