Chartered Surveyor expands South West Reach with new Exeter Office

National Chartered Surveyor firm, Bruton Knowles, is expanding its presence in the South West, with the opening of a new office in Exeter – its 14th base in the UK. The move will provide a more convenient location for Bruton Knowles to service clients in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

The new office also strengthens the firm’s regional offering while supporting its National Building Consultancy Team to undergo further growth.

The strategic move follows another recent office opening in the South West, based in Bathpool, Taunton, which put the organisation in a geographically stronger position to provide an on-the-door service to existing and potential clients.

The newly appointed Head of Building Consultancy South, Ed Vereker, will head up the Exeter office and will lead colleagues from across the business. He joined the firm as a Senior Associate in June, with a goal to drive forward the company’s presence in the South.

To cater for clients in the South West, Ed plans to draw on the wealth of experience and skills of the business, to provide tailored advice to clients across professional and construction requirements.

He commented: “I am very proud to be provided with a dedicated platform to expand Bruton Knowles’ presence in the South West to an even greater extent. Since joining the firm in June, it’s been great to see the progress we have made in the region, having also invested in offices in the South, with our Wimborne and Taunton locations this year.

“Now, we must utilise this opportunity to build relationships with existing and potential customers in the area by delivering a high-quality service, and I look forward to leading the team to achieve this.”

James Bailey, Managing Partner at Bruton Knowles, added: “Exeter is a great city location for us and will be the focus of our commitment to clients in the South West region, our team of six will continue to grow in 2024 as we deliver on our ongoing growth journey across the UK. It is a really great way to end the year.

“This office means that we now have a base in Devon to connect to our client base, reflecting upon our mission of expanding our South West presence. It is no doubt a great way to end the year and I am more than excited to see what we can achieve in 2024, as we look to continue our growth journey across the entire country.”
