Morrison Water Services to help Yorkshire Water deliver Water Services Partnership Framework in West Yorkshire

Morrison Water Services, a part of M Group Services, has been awarded an expansion of its existing Water Services Partnership (WSP) frameworks in Yorkshire, extending its services to deliver Repair & Maintenance and Metering across the West of Yorkshire Water’s supply area.

This expansion will now see Morrison Water Services delivering Lot 2 Repair & Maintenance and Lot 4 Metering works across the entire Yorkshire Water area, having commenced delivery of these works in the East area in 2021. This significant expansion further extends Morrison Water Services’ commitment to deliver a safe, consistent, and reliable service to Yorkshire Water.

The contract started in December and will run until March 2027, with the potential to be extended until March 2030.

Work carried out by Morrison Water Services will include specialist leakage detection, repair and maintenance and metering activity.

The expansion of the Water Services Partnership in to West Yorkshire will see 600 people in total delivering Repairs & Maintenance and Metering works for Yorkshire Water through Morrison Water Services, following the transfer of people from the previous service provider.

Throughout the framework term, Morrison Water Services will work with Yorkshire Water in a shared commitment to deliver social value, supporting local people and the communities in which it works.

Iain Sutherland, Managing Director of the Water Division at M Group Services, said:

“It’s brilliant to see Morrison Water Services’ Repair & Maintenance and Metering frameworks for Yorkshire Water expanded to deliver these essential services across the West of the region. Building on our long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Water, the Partnership contract will see Morrison Water Services continue to deliver a safe and consistent service to the people of Yorkshire, supporting the local communities in which it works.

“The team has worked tirelessly with Yorkshire Water and M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions to mobilise into the West region and I’m incredibly proud to see the contract has got off to a great start.”
