Z-Tech wins prestigious safety award

In recognition of its long-standing commitment to health, safety and wellbeing excellence, Z-Tech Control Systems Ltd, a part of M Group Services, has been awarded a prestigious Order of Distinction award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its run of 15 consecutive RoSPA Gold award wins.

The Order of Distinction is presented to businesses sustaining the high standards of Gold award level over consecutive years. This accolade demonstrates the company’s dedication to ensuring its staff get home safely at the end of every working day. Safety is an essential element of M Group Services’ environmental, social and governance (ESG) targets.

Z-Tech provides specialist Electrical, Control and Instrumentation services to Water, Energy and Rail sectors.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is the largest occupational health and safety awards programme in the UK. Now in its 67th year, the Awards have almost 2,000 entries every year, covering nearly 50 countries and a reach of over seven million employees. The programme recognises organisations’ commitment to continuous improvement in the prevention of accidents and ill health at work, looking at entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Angela Nilsson, Managing Director of Z-Tech, said:

“This award is a fantastic achievement for Z-Tech. Nothing is more important than the wellbeing of everyone involved in, or affected by, the operations we undertake.

“It is a credit to everyone at Z-Tech that their ongoing commitment and dedication to health and safety has secured them this honour for the 15th year in a row. This is made more special with the Order of Distinction, the perfect validation that we are doing the right things, and encouragement for us to continue to be better.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said:

“Accidents at work and work-related ill health don’t just have huge financial implications or cause major disruption – they significantly impact an individual’s quality of life, That’s why good safety performance deserves to be recognised and rewarded.

“We are thrilled that Z-Tech Control Systems Ltd has won a RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
