Northumbrian Water named one of UK’s best workplaces for women

Northumbrian Water has been named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women, achieving a 19th place ranking on the list in the Super Large Category, published by Great Place to Work® UK.

The only water and sewerage company to make the list, Northumbrian Water is among 263 UK-based organisations recognised for creating a great workplace for all.

Earlier this year, the water company created a new female health group to highlight its support for a variety of women’s physical and mental health issues, including the menopause, fertility, and women’s safety.

Northumbrian Water, which is a signatory of the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Ten Steps Programme, now also has a Women in STEM network which aims to help female colleagues in their careers and inspire them to become mentors to girls in STEM.
