Arqiva announces Shuja Khan to succeed Paul Donovan as Chief Executive Officer

Arqiva Group Ltd has announced that Shuja Khan will succeed Paul Donovan as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 01 June 2022. Shuja has been Arqiva’s Chief Commercial Officer since January 2020, responsible for their revenue generating activities across all business areas including strategy, customer experience and regulatory affairs. Since joining he has been instrumental in setting a new strategic direction for the business and re-positioning Arqiva in the marketplace.

He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the technology, media and communications sector. Prior to joining Arqiva he was Chief Commercial Officer for Cable & Wireless across 24 territories in the Caribbean and Latin America. He has also held a number of leadership positions at both Virgin Media and Liberty Global Europe.

Paul Donovan has been Chief Executive Officer since April 2020. During Paul’s tenure as CEO, he has made a significant and positive impact on the business. He has delivered a credible long-term plan that has established confidence in growth and a sustainable cost base, created a strong management team and has overseen a shift to a new operating model with improvements in customer engagement, and the development of our product portfolio. Alongside this he has evolved Arqiva’s purpose for the future and Vision 2031 along with culture goals to underpin these strategic ambitions.

Shuja Khan’s appointment is with effect from 01 June. He will work with Paul Donovan over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth and orderly transition. Paul will formally leave Arqiva on 30 June 2022 and will return as a Non-Executive Director role on the Board of Directors of Arqiva Group Ltd.
